Soil preparation is one of the most important steps when creating the lawn of your dreams. We recommend doing a soil test with your local County Extension office. Your soil test will determine if you need to add anything to your existing soil. Once that is determined, you will want to make sure the soil is clear of any rocks or debris. Make sure there is about 3 to 4 inches of soft soil. You can roll the area lightly with a sod roller. In the warm summer months, we recommend watering the prepped area so the soil is moist just before installation.
